Griffins Road - Owens Creek Culvert Replacement

 

Pentacon is the principal contractor & scope of work required the removal and replacement of the stormwater pipe culverts at Griffins Road in the Mackay Disctrict.

 
  • The existing culverts were in poor condition and were demolished and replaced carefully as they are located in fish waterways. This was done in accordance with the requirements of the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry

  • Site Establishment/Disestablishment was undertaken.

  • Survey set out

  • Subgrade treatment

  • Principal supplied RCP's

  • Installation of 3 cell arrangement of 1800mm RCP's-18 no. total

  • Location and protection of existing services

  • Provision for traffic and traffic management

  • Safety, environmental and quality management

  • Quality control and compliance testing of the works

  • Management of matters related to the presence of asbestos

  • Clearing and grubbing works

  • Earthworks, subsoil and pavement drainage.

  • Concrete works, pavement drainage works

  • Construction of landscape and revegetation works

  • Construction of bitumen/aggregate pavement sealing works

  • Supply and Installation of road furniture/signage

  • Construction of stormwater structures and protective treatments

  • Dewatering, disposal of all waste and excess materials

  • Restoration of disturbed areas
