Mine Access Road & Entrance

 

Pentacon is the principal contractor & scope of work is to construct the mine access road at approx. 3.1km and entrance at Pembroke Olive Downs Complex.

 
  • Site management, environmental and erosion management, safety and quality management, traffic management

  • Stripping of topsoil

  • Earthworks cut to fill, cut to stockpile

  • Excavation and disposal on unsuitable material in and below confined excavations

  • Trimming and compaction of pavement subgrade

  • Access Road pavement works including subbase and lower subbase supply, load, cart, spread and compaction

  • Mine entry pavement works including unbound granular pavement supply, load, cart, spread and compaction

  • Supply and installation of road furniture including signage and road edge guide posts on new access road, and removal and re-erection of signage and guide posts at entry

  • Stormwater and drainage works including excavation, formwork, concrete and reinforcement of cast-in-situ reinforced and un-reinforced concrete headwalls, wingwalls and aprons

  • Supply and installation of geotextile

  • Rock protection

  • Grass seeding

  • Supply and install helical lock seam corrugated steel pipe culvert components

Volumes:

  • Total cut to fill: 26767m3

  • Total cut to stockpile: 6913m3

  • Total placement of 2.3 CBR: 7,851m3

  • Total placement of 2.5 CBR: 11,324m3
