We started our works for the Dalby beautification project today, which involves the planting of over 8,500 plants including trees, shrubs and ground covers. We are very proud to have an opportunity to take an active part in improving the liveability of our Western Downs and support WDRC with this fantastic project. 🌳 👍This morning Cr Greg Olm and Mayor Paul McVeigh met Pentacon Representative Vincent Vital to officially see the Warrego Highway landscaping project get underway. To complete this stage of the project, Council has engaged local contractors Western Force Landscaping, I-Water Pty Ltd and PentaCon Pty Ltd. This project is jointly funded by Council and Department of Transport and Main Roads (Queensland).

The works this week will be happening between Cunningham Street and Watt Street however the entire project runs between the Dalby-Cecil Plains Road and Watt Street. The beautification will be 'branching' out across the region but for now, make sure you have a look when you're out and about in Dalby next! 🌿🌳

Check out this awesome time lapse video of the 21-metre-long concrete deck units going in on the $1.96 million Bundi Road Bridge replacement over Horse Creek Road! The old timber bridge on Greenswamp Road over Charleys Creek is also getting the same treatment, with our community able to test out their new modern, safer, two-lane bridges by the end of this month.
